This course is designed to teach students the basics of AutoCAD 2D drafting. The course will cover the following topics:
• Introduction to AutoCAD: The course will begin with an introduction to AutoCAD, including the user interface, basic commands, and drawing tools.
• Drawing 2D Objects: The course will then cover the basics of drawing 2D objects in AutoCAD, including lines, circles, arcs, and text.
• Dimensioning: The course will also cover the basics of dimensioning in AutoCAD, including linear and angular dimensions.
• Printing and Publishing: The course will conclude with a discussion of printing and publishing in AutoCAD, including creating layouts, printing drawings, and exporting drawings to other file formats.

Course Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
• Use AutoCAD to create 2D drawings.
• Draw lines, circles, arcs, and text in AutoCAD.
